Firstly I apologise if this topic has been covered before but does anyone know if there are any laws in the USA that cover the length of time a body can be kept before burial?  I am almost sure there is such a law in the UK.  Just a thought that might help us find a way forward.

In the state of California the body has to be embalmed, cremated or buried at sea, etc within 8 days.


Once embalmed, the body can stay in state for any amount of time…

one example of this is james brown who wasn't buried for almost 3 months after his death…

his body was in a gold casket in his estate while his family fought over where to bury him.

To find the truth… I like to play Devil’s Advocate… Please don’t let that upset you!
