What did you all think of the kids at the funeral? Paris speech…I cried with her until I watched the speech over and over on CNN and realized…I was the only one actually crying.

Can you feel it.. Can you feel it… CAN YOU FEEL IT

At first I kept my eyes on Paris and Janet, while Marlon was talking. I noticed a few key things, like when Paris was fiddling with her purse, Aunty Janet then turns as if to say 'do you remember what we practiced' Paris then nods, and leans on Janet's shoulder and caresses her hand.

Now, when Paris starts the speech I was very skeptical! I remember when I was younger, and I used to fake cry to get my way, I'd act the exact way she did. You have the expression on your face, yet no actual tears. NOW. I know if I was that age and my father had just died, I wouldn't be singing and dancing prior to making a statement regarding my father's death, and then – at the drop of a hat, try and make tears come out of nowhere. I also find it convenient that she turned her head and went straight into Janet's arms, and was whisked away. Now, yes, some people and kids are different at grieving. BUT COME ON. The entire time Blanket was playing with an MJ doll, Prince was just sitting there chewing gum waiting for the entire thing to be over, and Paris, well..she was with Grandma Jackson looking very bored as well. And please, don't get me started when Marlon was talking, how it seemed Janet was holding in a laugh. And, in fact, when Marlon finishes talking and they all huddle around him you can clearly see ONE of the Jackson brother's SMILING! I'm not sure who it is (I think it's jermaine) either way, if you watch that part, it's the one to the right of Marlon when they all huddle against him.

hi,
well, i cried too, was just so sad. but then i watched the speech again – just like you. the whole situation just seems odd, she seems fine until they pushed her in front of the microphone…she played with her purse during marlons speech until janet gave her a look. so i don't know..mhm
but lets say mj is alive and well, i doubt that he would like to see his daughter “lying” and fake crying…
what do you think?

Sorry I actually lol when I read “I was the only one crying”. ^^;

I don't know, I guess everyone reacts differently at funerals/memorials, but children are very straightforward, they are not good at hiding their emotions nor fake them, they could be laughing then started crying the next second.

So Paris, Prince Michael (I guess Blanket might not know what was going on considering his age) might be just like that, still, there were quite a lot of emotional moments throughout the memorial, I couldn't stop crying when Jermaine was singing 'Smile', and I cried when Paris spoke too, I'm not so sure if she did cry, can you see her nose turning red? I couldn't see very clearly on youtube and I can't recall when I was watching it live that night… but I think there was no tears.

It seems to me Prince Michael was not getting himself involved too much, didn't really see any emotions from him, plus he was chewing gum… I'm not trying to be harsh on him or anything but looks to me he was acting when he lean on Janet shoulder after Paris spoke.

I think Blanket didn't know what was going on at all.

Yeah, I agree. Blanket did seem a bit oblivious to the entire situation. Speaking of which, as I have mentioned on a post in here somewhere on this site (not in the forum) my biggest question/concern was not from the memorial, but what Jermaine had said in an interview with Matt Lauer. He clearly stated that all three of the children got to see their dad's 'dead body' because it was best 'psychologically' for them and the doctor recommended it. Uhm, I don't know of any doctor that would allow children who are 11, 12, and 7 to see the corpse of their father?! so they wouldn't be 'traumatized'?! don't you think they'd be more traumatized BY seeing the body, then NOT seeing it? it doesn't make sense to me. I guess for them to better understand 'death'…but uhm, AT SUCH AN EARLY AGE?! and FIRST HAND?! AND to have it be their OWN FATHER. It's completely absurd and rediDONKulous!

Well I remember when our Princess Di died. All the country was in shock and we were eager for the funeral details. Most of the country watched it and everyone cried at some point – be it the walk behind the hearse, the service or when she left to go to Althorp. It was very dignified.

Michaels was a shambles, with absolutely no emotion .In fact I'm going to set up a new thread in a minute.

Hmm. is there a possibility that Jermaine wasn't telling the truth? Maybe he was just telling the interviewer that to make the whole thing would appear more believable? (I say it if Michael did fake his death)

If he was telling the truth (if Michael is really dead), maybe the doctor or whoever it was thought the children could cope with the passing of their father better, but then again, 11, 12 years old I could sort of understand because I think at that age you have an idea what death is, but at 7? I don't think a 7 year old child have an idea what death is even if they saw their beloved father's body lying in front of them.

I have no idea, to be honest. The entire thing, at every angle and aspect, is strange and doesn't add up. I don't think anyone has told the truth since the beginning. Which makes sense as to why their stories are falling apart 3 weeks later. Speaking of that, 3 weeks and still no word as to where he could be buried. Or if he got buried yet. Strange.

When I was 11, my grandfather died. It was an open-casket funeral. I don’t remember if I cried or not, but I do remember unfortunately that I laughed during the long funeral. The whole atmosphere of people mourning was just funny to me as a little kid I guess, and I did love him very much. My 12 year old cousin and I were squirming and giggling so much that my older sister had to take us into the parlor next door… where we played games with the patterned carpet and looked at the intricate lamps in the room. I think I grieved hardly when I first heard that my grandfather died, and then I guess I got bored because they were dragging it on.

I wanted to post this because I think kids respond differently to situations like this. Michael’s kids may have been just all cried out if he really did die or they could know he is actually still alive.

Paris's crying seemed fake, but that doesn't mean the death was a hoax. The posters above are right that kids react strangley at funerals, probably because they don't really understand what's going on. I remember going to funerals when I was 11-12 and I didn't really cry either. That being said, don't forget Paris has been to film school, it's possible she was coached by the family to make an emotional scene so people would believe Michael was really dead. Crying noises are very easy to fake, but tears are not, which is what makes me think it was all an act. And consider what she actually said:

“I just want to say ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine. And I just wanted to say I love him so much”

Nothing in that speech suggests she thinks he's dead; it could've just as easily been a tribute to a father she still loves- and who is still alive and listening to her. She uses present tense, and doesn't say she misses him, which is the first thing you'd expect to hear from someone who has experienced such a loss. Think about it.

Also, i'd like to make a note that the children have not been seen or photographed(to my knowledge) since the memorial. There is one photo I think on TMz or x17  of what's supposed to be Prince playing a video game on the patio of the Jackson compound. You can' t even see a person it's so damn grainy let alone KNOW it's Prince. See how easily they could just 'disappear”. No one in the media is wondering where they are now.  Heres  a link to the picture, LOOKS JUST LIKE HIM HUH!!!

Well i know at my dads funeral a few years ago,

i didn't cry at all…

I was on a Zanax….

i sat there in shock and numb…

we had been through a long long illness with him and knew the end was coming…

so we had time to prepare emotionally…

but Michael died suddenly,

so i would think that there would have been more tears.

If Paris was acting, and they set her up to say that…

that is an horrible thing to do to your child…

even if they know your aren't dead and will see you soon.

Maybe some onions help her.

I don't know what think about Paris' acting…

But I don't really like how Prince Michael was with his chewing-gum ! Blanket was always hiding by LaToya…?

We can't be base only on the children reactions, it can't prove nothing.

I think an explanation for why Michael's sons seemed oblivious and were chewing gum is just that young boys are not as sensitive or emotional as young girls. I mean, obviously they are going to feel DEVASTATED that they have lost their father, but boys are typically more composed with that sort of thing and not just going to cry in front of the whole world.

Didn't the family hold a private mourning ceremony prior to the public memorial? Perhaps they had reserved their grief for the private ceremony, and their orientation towards the public memorial was that it would be a CELEBRATION of Michael's life just to give the fans a chance to grieve in a different way than how close family members were grieving.

That poor little girl was pushed right into it. SO not cool. Janet made her do it and forced her. I hated it. It broke my heart. So if Michael once said that if ever he died he wanted Diana Ross to take care of his kids he was SO RIGHT! Michael… I love you… you are ever so smart and aware. I`m sure you`ll handle this one too. Time will tell and time is on your side. Always has been and always will be. Thank you for being you! xxxx

Oh guys you're so right!

For the 1st time when I was watching the memorial
I immediately noticed Michael's borthers and sisters –
all of them wore glasses..  WTF?
I didn't see a sun in the Staples Center…
And I was laughing becoz of them
Maybe they wanted to hide their eyes becuz the pple to don't see that
they don't have tears… And after Marlon's speech they all had a
big HUG and Jackie was laughing and was hidding his head
but many pple say that he was crying ….. For ME he was laughing and
I play this video every time to see VERY WELL if he's crying or
laughing and everytime I see that he is laughing!

Now the children:

When I saw Prince and Balnket to chewing gum I said myself: WTF? They chweing gum like their father is alive…I mean for them it's like this was not a memorial for their father but a ….. boring thing..

Paris was crying without tears…how you can cry without tears?

And when she said: I just wanna say I love him so much, she immediately cuddle in Janet….for me it's because to hide her face…

911 call:

Every person when see another person
lying on the floor without breathing he/she will
get into a panic and immediately will call 911 and will say:
The man is 50 years old. He is lying on the floor and not
breathing and the call will finish around the 30th sec.
NOT 2 minutes to talk with 911 like nothing is going on ..

Ok I have two different points of view

At this time, I have no opinion as to whether or not Michael is alive, because I'm extremely confused. I read every single post of this thread, and all of it makes sense.

However, lets say for the moment that Michael is dead, maybe all the brothers in particular wore the aviators because it was in tribute to Michael, being that he always wore those damn things. And coinciding with that they were also wearing sequined gloves, so idk. But then again it could be what everyone else is saying, they did it so they wouldn't have to show their tears…wait.

I just realized something.

WHAT IF THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS WORE THE SUNGLASSES TO TRICK THE GENERAL PUBLIC INTO THINKING THAT IT WAS IN TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL, BUT IN ACTUALITY IT WAS SO THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO ACT SAD! MAYBE THEY TRICKED US!

hmm… interesting.

The only thing really holding me back from thinking michael is alive is Paris. that damn speech.

oh.shit.

i just realizing something else.

omg i'm gonna make another thread.
