Hi. This is a copy of a message I posted on http://www.michaeljackson.com a couple of weeks ago in order to pay my respects to this beautiful human being. I just wanted to share it with this forum as well. Let's use this thread to post similar tribute messages to the King of Pop.

Dear Michael,

I spent several radical years protesting against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, against poverty and racism, against government attacks on civil liberties, education and workers’ rights. I attribute this to you. Your songs, including ‘Heal the World’, ‘Man in the Mirror’, and ‘Black or White’, were responsible for implanting the seeds of a social consciousness in my mind from a young and impressionable age. They had an extremely progressive message and reached me at a pivotal time when I was just beginning to understand how the world worked. I admire the way you constantly fought to break down racism in the music industry and beyond. You also drew attention to how children are oppressed within the system we live under.

I admire the way you fought back against all of the false allegations made against you through your music. You were so strong, because you never simply laid down and took the media’s abuse without a fight. I admire the HIStory album because there are so many inspiring songs that serve as powerful statements in your defense after FALSE allegations were made against you, including ‘D.S.’ (TOM SNEDDON IS A COLD MAN… and the Chandlers and Arvizos are disgusting, money-hungry liars that should be convicted of perjury).

I admire how you always expressed yourself in the way you chose to, not caring about what the media thought and never capitulating to them. You always looked fantastic, and lived the lifestyle you wanted to live – it takes guts and strength of character to do that. You sent a message to the world that it is ok to be different. It is ok to be a little eccentric and “strange” and to have quirks. People should be able to express themselves any way they want to. That’s what makes us who we are and what makes us human. It is something to be embraced, not ridiculed. I believe this message has been your greatest gift to the world.

I'm suspicious about your death. I don't trust anyone that was around you.

I am sad for your family and especially for your children.

I cry a lot.

My favourite songs of yours are always changing, but currently I enjoy 'In The Closet' (love the very sexy video especially!), 'You Are Not Alone' (this will be played at my wedding one day), 'Smooth Criminal', and 'Stranger in Moscow'.

I love you, Michael. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for me, especially for the progressive values you have taught me. You have been a wonderful friend and you have enhanced my life by bringing so much joy and light to the darkness of childhood and adolescence. I saw you perform live when I was 10 years old. It was the most excitement I'd ever had in my life up to that point. It gave me something to be happy and excited about as a little girl. I’m sorry for the way we have treated you. I have so many regrets. I miss you and can never forget you. I am shedding tears for you and thinking of you. I will celebrate your life for as long as I live.

Love forever, Courtney, xx

Courtney, what a beautiful tribute sweetheart..So heartfelt..It's my guess you dont believe Michael is still alive..I am starting to feel the same way again too now..There are times I have been convinced that Michael staged his own death..Some people have bought up some very good points and observation's..Then today, after reading your letter in particular I know that Michael was a man of integrity and would never be a part of something that has caused such heartache and loss to so many…There are it's true some strange circumstances surrounding Michael's death..I guess we will never know what truely happend..I told my sons the other day that over the years I must have had every album except two that Michael released…I was also a fan of The Jackson's..However, I also branched out and started listening to other music, and I am very sad to say that it's only been since Michael's death that I have been listening to his music again..I guess sometimes you never truely appreciate something until you no longer have it…I thought Michael would go on and on..It honestly never occured to me that he might pass away at such a young age..But we all have a time to live and a time to die..Courtney, thank you for sharing such a beautiful letter with us. You are so lucky to have been able to see Michael perform..That's a beautiful memory you can hold onto forever…Take care..xx

Courtney,

That was beautiful.

I have been keeping a journal since I was 14 and today in the car I thought about writing my own letter to MJ in it.  Since his 'death'  I haven't been able to express myself properly while writing.  My thoughts have been jumbled and my passion for writing has been zapped for the time being.  Maybe before the week is over I will be able to get all my thoughts and feelings out on paper.

Again, beautiful letter!

Blessings <(((><

i was reading it somewhere that One record producer told Jackson biographer J. Randy Taraborrelli via the NY Post that Michael would teach his children how to take responsibility for themselves.

“Prince Michael once spilled popcorn on the studio floor, and the producer bent over to clean up the mess, fearing jackson would have a star-like tantrum. Instead, the megastar apologized.”

“He's my kid. I'll clean up after him,” Jackson said, according to Taraborrelli.

The producer recalled, “I looked down and there's Michael Jackson on his hands and knees picking up his son's popcorn. I'm not sure you would see any other star doing this.”

Michael's longtime pal Dieter Wiesner told Life & Style, “He made breakfast for them — a lot of people don't know this side of Michael.”

It seems there is a lot about Michael that people never knew. Perhaps that’s how he wanted it to be. We'll never be able to distinguish the difference between Michael the performer and Michael the person. He never got a day of rest in his life, so perhaps now that he's passed, everyone, including the tabloids can let the legend finally have his peace.

Michael gave us so much, its time for everyone to return the favor, and even if he is alive( i really belive he is alive) we all can understand it, he had to do it. afterall how much scrutiny one can handle. i think had i been at his place i would have completly lost my balance and would have definetly commited suicide. (see britney) bt he maintained himself dignified thruout.

he never blamed people like bashir(bashir is not going to find place in hell even hell is too good for him, curse you bashir ) who did such a devastating act towards him, instead he tried to be as serene and compose as anybody could ever be.

HE IS THE MOST FANTABULOUS PERSON WHO HAS EVER WALKED ON THE FACE OF EARTH. he forgave people with such an ease i DOUBT WILL THERE EVER BE ANYONE LIKE MICHAEL AGAIN. I FEAR NO. he is THE ONE AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE ONE. love you mj you rock my world. ALLAH APKO SUKUUN BAKSHE

BEHIND MY SMILE IS A HURTING HEART. BEHIND MY LAUGH I AM FALLING APART. LOOK CLOSELY AT ME AND YOU ‘LL SEE THE PERSON I AM… IS’NT ME…
