On February 6th, 2003, Martin Bashir asked Michael Jackson how much he was worth. Bashir asked, “How much do you think you're worth?” Jackson replied “It's way up there.” Bashir later asked, “A billion dollars?” to which Jackson replied “It's over there.” Bashir asked for confirmation: “Over a billion dollars!” to which Jackson replied “Yes.”
Michael’s empire was worth over $2 billion gross at the height of his career. This included royalties from his own album, plus Beatles album catalog. However, much of this was spent on extravagant whims.
BILLIONS!!
Well i really can't believe he had debts and not much money in his “last months”.
HM..what do you think??

Truthfully, I think Michael was a calculated businessman, and always knew exactly what he was doing.
Only my opinion. (my other opinion is..Martin Bashir is a jerk. I didn't watch the “special” when it aired, as I don't watch that kind of television, I watched it when the witch hunt started, merely to see what the fuss was about..but it was blatantly obvious what Bashir was after. His arrogance was annoying. He ranks right up there with “baba wawa” if you ask me)

If Michael is guilty of anything it would be that he lives inside his own heart. M.

I agree 100%.

The beauty of conspiracy theories is that the more they try to talk you out of it, the more they reinforce the idea of conspiracy. |

Well said! I'm sick of people saying “Michael was a millionaire who lived and spent like a billionaire”.
How the f**k do they know what Michael's finances were like?!!!

I do believe he could have debts… We're talking 2003…. a whole lot can happen in 6 years and i truly believe Michael lived for his music, for the message he was trying to get across. Money wasn't at the top of his priority list and he thus probably delegated that part of his life to so called 'experts'. Look at all the people (eg. Spielberg) who trusted Madoff…..millions and millions of dollars were lost (Madoff is serving time as we speak). So no, wouldn't be surprised one bit if he had huge debts…..
Money is nothing but a strange commodity and if you're in that league it looses it's value completely on a day to day basis i mean
I know what i'm talking about; survived 2 bankruptcies… money comes as easy as it goes. In a jiffy you can loose everything, life itself makes real quick turns….
So, no BS there…. This is not a regular income we're talking about, it's way beyond that and the higher the stakes…the higher the risks. He could have lost it all in one day so to speak… it takes only one bad investment…

For there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

yes, i honestly do. People like that have a different lifestyle, not better or worse, just different; They would f.i. buy a private jet in 5 sec. without blinking an eye and make huge investments on the stock market and all is well untill all goes wrong…, they invest a huge amount of money and at the same time loose a huge amount of money; it's just a delicate balance…the more you have the more you can loose; and that's a fact of life
