I really think there is a strong connection to the Barnum theory here-

he was a champion hoaxster and showmen of the last century-and an idol of MJ's

Anyone who employs people and gives copies of Barnums book to read is capable of a grande hoax-

and this would be it.

Big coincidence that the circus was “coming to town” elephants and all prior to MJ memorial

since we have questioned why would they be having rehearsals at Staples Center to begin with…

My only reservation is now that people have commited suicide over his death this might change things–this would not be something he would have anticipated…

Let me also add that Paris' response was way too rehearsed and she spoke to him in the present tense.  I can;t believe she would be that “collect” after having seen her father dead and heard (I would imagine) a commotion when they tried to revive him–and Pria (elder) chewing gum the whole time.

I'm not really sure if fans actually committed suicide over his death, it could just be the media talking.

true. plus there's no way michael can be held accountable even if they did. they obviously suffered from severe mental instability if they committed suicide over his death.

When I heard on the radio here in NYC that the elepahnts were coming in in the same sentence that MJ memorial was happening-do you know what I thought—Don't tell me they are going to have circus elephants at MJ memorial?!  I know it sounds off–but I really thought it was a possiibility since he did have animals all over Neverland.  Incidentally, I was not aware of the PT Barnum connection when I thought this.

actually umm nobody actually has proof that those people commited suicide

and its not micahels fault they did in the first place because they were already suicidal and if michael wouldnt had 'died' then they wouldve found another reason to commit suicide so thats so not his fault

and plus theres no dang proof of them people commiting suicide we heard that from the media again if theres no interviews or nthn nada nada then its a very good chance that that isnt true!

Omg..How Adorable is He!!

I thought he was going to have animals at the memorial.

I didn't know it was a circus.

The circus connection is brilliant, I totally forgot about that.

Interesting research I did on Barnum.

He believed the difference between a hoax and a swindle was whether the public felt they had been entertained in the end. If the trick provides an attraction and then entertainment is provided, it's a hoax. If the trick attracts interest but people are left disappointed then it is a swindle.

Barnum also almost went bankrupt and did fall out of favor with his public image for awhile, in which he regrouped and then started the traveling circus when he was nearly 60 years old, which saved him financially and reinstated him back in the public's favor.

P.T. Barnum was famous for hoaxes, which he played unapologetically on the public (most famous was the Figi Mermaid, but there was also the Cardiff giant, George Washington's nurse maid, and the brick man), but in the end, people were entertained and felt they got their money's worth which is what Barnum's ultimate goal was. He was also famous for debunking swindles such as psychics and snake oil salesmen, and was an early supporter of civil rights and positive race relations and a huge philatropist, responsible for salvaging many failing museums and parks and doing a lot of good for the communities where he was based out of.

Here's the story of the brick man, absolute genius:

One day a plump beggar came by for a handout. Instead, Barnum offered him a job at a dollar and a half a day. He handed the puzzled beggar five ordinary bricks. “Now,” said Barnum, “go and lay a brick on the sidewalk at the corner of Broadway and Ann Street; another close by the Museum; a third diagonally across the way… put down the fourth on the sidewalk in front of St. Paul’s Church, opposite; then, with the fifth brick in hand, take up a rapid march from one point to the other, making the circuit, exchanging your brick at every point, and say nothing to anyone.… [A]t the end of every hour by St. Paul’s clock show this ticket at the Museum door; enter, walking solemnly through every hall in the building; pass out, and resume your work.”

The beggar moved off with his five bricks, and began his idiot’s play. Within half an hour, more than five hundred curious people were following him. In an hour, the crowd had doubled. When the brick-toting pied piper entered the Museum, dozens bought tickets to follow him. This continued throughout the day for several days, and Barnum’s business showed a satisfying increase.

Here's a quote by Barnum, nicknamed “The Prince of Humbugs” (a “humbug” is a hoax)

“The greatest humbug of all is the man who believes — or pretends to believe — that everything and everybody are humbugs. We sometimes meet a person who professes that there is no virtue; that every man has his price, and every woman hers; that any statement from anybody is just as likely to be false as true and that the only way to decide which, is to consider whether truth or a lie was likely to have paid best in that particular case. Religion he thinks one of the smartest business dodges extant, a first rate investment, and by all odds the most respectable disguise that a lying or swindling business man can wear. Honor he thinks is a sham. Honesty he considers a plausible word to flourish in the eyes of the greener portion of our race…. Poor fellow! he has exposed his own nakedness. Instead of showing that others are rotten inside, he has proved that he is.”

I'm not entirely sure what that means, but it is worthy of thought.

What do you think about that, Give.It.To.Me?

The Barnum connection needs a sticky, fo shizzle.

Learned more uber interesting info…

Barnum wrote his own obituary and had the newspaper print it weeks before he actually died because he wanted to read it.

Barnum also planned his own funeral service.

My dad planned his own funeral…

this is very common in the us…

it is called Pre-Planning and gives the individual peace of mind

knowing that their service is planned and paid for…

it also takes a lot  off of the family not having to go through the planning after the person died….

people pick out their own caskets and burial plots…

Some are even starting to write their own obituaries…

now printing it before you die, …..well that is strange!

To find the truth… I like to play Devil’s Advocate… Please don’t let that upset you!

I have ordered all the books on Barnum from my local library here in NYC-hopefully they will come soon.

What would his voice coach even suggest a hoax–

Why hasn't there been any mention that there will be the Heal the World Awards today here  (NYC) on TV- EVEN if it isn;t broadcast it is newsworthy

When i checked the site out there's a photo with Michael holding the award

I  NEVER heard it mentioned in any discussion that I heard or viewed that there was an upcoming award ceremony–

Apparently the director of this award is also a big shot at the APollo theater here in NYC—-odd

Will AL Sharpton be there too??

Remember how Sharpton addresses the children during the memorial….seek out the video–

(Incidentally,  I think MJ named his son Prince since that was his maternal Grandfathers name)
