I just wanted to share this “funny” story with you friends. My 21 year old daughter called me yesterday morning laughing her butt off. She took her fiance to work yesterday morning (they only have 1 car), and you know how “macho” men have to be (lol). He has been putting up with listening to Michael Jackson every day for the last month en route to his job. Well, yesterday morning, he finally got up enough nerve and asked her “can we PLEASE listen to something else???…you can listen to this when you get home”. So, she switched off her cd and turned on the radio. Guess what was playing…yep ~ Michael Jackson (she was laughing inside). So her fiance hurry up and switched to another station. Guess what it was??? Yep…you guessed it ~ the dj's talking about Michael Jackson. By this time, she just busted out laughing and said “well, take your pick!” He just shook his head and said “ok, I got an idea…lets listen to Michael Jackson!” (HAHAHAHA) Needless to say, she couldn't wait for him to get out of the car so she could call me (hee hee). I told her to get over here and I will listen to MJ with her. She came right over, and we spent hours dancing and singing to Michael Jackson…it was soooo much fun. I have 4 daughters (1 adult & 3 teens), a son who is 7, and a grandson who is 2. Well, my son wouldn't dance with us, but my daughters and I sure boogied down! My little grandson even danced with us…he loves Michael Jackson! If my husband would of walked in, he probably would of walked right back out and never came back…lol. It was a day I will never forget. Oh, I did manage to teach a couple of them how to do the moonwalk!!! I hope you guys enjoyed my story.
P.S. This is off topic, but I didn't want to start 2 threads. Does anyone know what happened to the “GOOD NEWS!” thread from last night??? It was started by Keisha7. I can't find it, and I only got to page 2 when I was too tired and had to go to sleep. I wanted to finish reading it.

That's funny!!!
2 nights ago I was out to dinner with some ladies. I was pretty much quiet the whole time, just listening to the conversations going on. Then we wanted our pictures taken and as the waitress was taking our pictures, 'Rock With You' came on. I said 'OMG!!!'. And the ladies go 'WHAT???' thinking I was having a heart attack. I said 'I LOVE this song!!!!' And they just busted out laughing…

You try to cope with every lie they scrutinize

That thread got deleted????? Well, that sucks! I wonder why… hopefully someone will let us know.
And thank you guys for sharing your funny stories also. I just CAN'T understand how anyone could POSSIBLY get tired of hearing Michael Jackson songs!!! (haha)
I am 38 years old, so I was lucky to live through the “Thriller” era. When I tell my children about it, they are just mezmarized (is that spelled right? ~ lol) listening to me tell it. They had sooo many questions, and they wanted to know everything. They are jealous…poor girls…but atleast I can share my memories with them.

Oh, I forgot to tell about this part…they LOVE the song “Dirty Diana” (so do I ), and they wanted to know what it was about. I had to try to innocently explain what “groupies” were back in the 80's. They were like…oooooh, grossss!!! haha

Man, where do you live, Savannah? In Savannah, GA? Because the ONLY time I have heard MJ on the radio is the day he died. And then they were done. I couldn't believe it! The day of his memorial, I was sure they would start again, but no. Not a single radio station. Thank goodness for CD's!

Before you post, ask yourself – WWMJD?

Will you still care?
Will you be there?
In my trials,

Yeah, I live in a metropolitan area as well. It didn't matter.
