Ok, Someone else has probably already thought of this and posted about it, but it just*now*
dawned on me that the title and lyrics of this brand-new song might very well be a clue. Could
he have planned to have this new song released specifically as a clue that he is located in a
remote, nameless location away from everything?

It seems amazingly strange, too, that he would have done this song. He's far too big of an artist/entertainer to remake someone else's song, wouldn't you think? and geez, it's not even a great song, I always thought it was kind of a stupid song?
But though the title is “a place with no name” is there a line within it that says “a place without no name”…..? that's a 'double-negative' in a sense (without no)……….meaning a place WITH a name.
Does anyone know for certain when he did this song?

I don't know when he actually did it but a website said he was given permission to record it several years ago.

Don't worry about the double negative. Don't focus on that. It is commonly used in songs and actually makes it lyrically stronger.

that's why it seems to be an outtake.
it sounds like an 82 or 87 outtake

yo my friend in la got them for me i dont know if he got them legally or not thats why i havent up loaded them.
