I've posted this before, maybe here it'll stay…let's have a topic where everyone has a name proporsal to use in common in each of

our countries for charity work in MJ's name…myself I'll set up a concert to raise funds for needy kids in Mazatlan…if we use the same

logo, and take pics of our activities, we'd have something to share between us and all over the world, this work would have a

trademark and motive…someone said “Man in the mirror”, others some more names..this is what he really intended..to make the

world a better place..not a site with discussions, he had enough of that crap all these years!! please post…ideas!!

I proposed the idea to you on MSN already, but I'm curious to see what others think of it.

Perhaps the funds could be put toward the school of arts Michael wanted to open for underprivileged children in South Africa?

Thank you for opening this thread.

I think that we should all honor Michael's memory by becoming better people and by making this world a better place.

We can start small by treating those around with us respect, by letting them know that we care and by helping them in any way that we can. If they ask us what they can do in return we can just say that we want them to do something good for another person.

We can carry Michael's message out into the world.

We can also organise events. To be honest I have never done something like that. At this point in time I wouldn't know where to start. We could go out into our respective communities and help wherever it is needed. Keep your eyes and ears open and you'll find something.

I like the Logo idea as well as the idea of posting pictures of our activities.

Let's get the ball rolling.

@SJlovesMJ

I'm sure stephykat would agree with me if I told you that this idea is open to everyone. We want to bring the world together.

yes…it is open to everyone…one good idea is to raise funds for one basic cause…build an art school in MJ's name in Southafrica!! but we must work hard on this!!

to be able to help/continue what MJ had started, we need to work hard for that..

uhm.. if we organse events and we have raised funds how do we offer them to the foundations that MJ started?

I'd really be happy to help..

Guys, does anyone know for sure if http://healtheworld.us/members/htwf is the Heal The World Foundation the Michael really founded? I cant remember where I read it but somewhere I read that his original foundation had issues with becoming a registered charity or some such and was disbanded. Thought it might be nice to join up with a place that was his idea and vision but dont know for sure if its the same one. They do comment on his passing etc on the main page?!?! Maybe we can offer our help somehow to them if everything is legit. Incase you dont want to open up the link, the main page has on it:

“To all those who love him,

The death of Michael Jackson is a great American tragedy.  His heart had been battered on all fronts, but he believed in humanity and wanted to change the world.

People are now remembering his music legacy, but behind the scenes, unknown to all but a small handful of people, during these last 7 years he authorized that tens of thousands be spent on preserving his charity organization Heal the World Foundation (HTWF).

Jackson started HTWF in 1992 and was designed to leverage his name, adding to the many millions Michael Jackson had personally given to charity.  With Michael Jackson not happy at turning 50 years old, he stepped up his efforts for a multifaceted comeback.

Following these final performances, it was believed that Mr. Jackson would live a long and full life, devoted to HTWF and serving his God and his fellow man, with his fans leading the way.

The staff at Heal the World Foundation express our deep sorrow for the loss the world has suffered.  We are devastated by the loss of one of the world's great humanitarians and hope that in his absence we will be able to take the torch of his legacy and give back to his memory the same beauty he gave freely to so many.

We express our condolences to his family, to Michael's several spokespeople and representatives who made HTWF's expanded mission possible and more especially to his fans who saw him as a genuine inspiration and the lifeblood to our work. We love you as he loved you.

With profound sadness,”

Mel Wilson
Vice President
Heal the World Foundation
