I’m so confused. Do we believe in the media or not?

Im asking because i see many posts here on this forum using the media as their source to prove something true or to prove something wrong by using another form of media.  I mean no rudeness in my words but alot of people are saying “not to believe the media” or “not to believe in whatever is written or said”, but then use the media to help make their point. I know we live in an internet world and we get most of our info there so its hard to avoid using it. im just saying, dont say those things when u use it urself.

We are suggested to not believe in the bad things that people say about mj but does it make anything truthful if we only believe in the good things? I love MJ so much but im sure he wasnt a perfect angel like i see people make him out to be.  For example, tmz says he was drug addict.  why is everyone so quick to disagree or agree with that then use another media source to prove that the first media source was wrong/right.  I dont know the real answer, you dont know the real answer, no one really knows except for michael himself.

well anywho, i just wanna know, when people say “dont believe in the media”, is it a one sided statement meaning only dont believe in the bad or does it go both ways?

im asking also cuz i also found myself doing the very same thing im voicing about sometimes (crap, im even doing it in this post) and come to realize it so now i wanna stop it by finding out why it happens.

well i'm guessing none of us have direct contact with the family or friends of mj and so we have to rely on the media to obtain information about his death. but there's a difference between accepting what the media says wholeheartedly and accepting only what makes sense. the latter is what we're doing, trying to decipher the truth from the tons and tons of bullshit. not everything is true in the media, that's correct, but neither is everything false. it makes sense that michael wasn't a drug addict at the time of his “death” because in all probabilty someone would've found out about it earlier and sold the info about his drug habit to the media for money. the fact that that didn't happen points to it being a recent fabrication. this theory is supported by the fact that they're now coming up with mulitple sources of 'evidence' to suggest he was an addict- close friends releasing statements about how they tried to help him, neverland raid revealing drugs, releasing the pepsi accident clip, etc.etc. when everything points to one direction in all likelihood that one direction is the correct one. of course you've got to keep an open mind about all this…

sorry for the long answer !

Great answer. You said it better than I could have.  I will say this though. I believe TMZ is in on it. They just seem suspicious….
