I agree with you. I watched the memorial on my computer, and when Paris spoke I could not stop crying. Then I looked at my computer screen, and I was like, “Wait a minute. She has me crying, but she doesn't even have traces of tears on her face”. I don't know… if he really is dead, the family is not really that emotional. Maybe like some have said..they have run out of tears, but we haven't even seen tears once. That is just a little too strange for me.

This is all too strange for me as well. I hope for Michael to be alive. Well, I believe he is alive. If he is not, then I do not understand at all how the family is behaving. There are no words for Joe's bizarre reaction at the BET awards. None of his close “friends” payed their respects. Like someone else said on this site, how can you sit and twitter to the world but not simply make an appearance. Even if they chose not to speak at the memorial, they could have came out of respect. Instead we get Usher and Mariah. That breaks my heart. Unlike most, Paris did not get a reaction out of me. No one can say for sure how children handle grief. Anyone for that matter. Everyone handles it differently. However, when I lost my father, I could not control my tears. Maybe they have been taught to handle themselves better though, since they are now in the public eye. I dont know. I just hate to say therir emotions were not sincere. I will say that the rest of the family did not seem sincere. Just my opinion. Jermaine once again got watery eyes, but never cried. Janet showed no emotion whatsoever. Nor did Latoya. So based on the family's bizarre reaction to the lost of Michael, I strongly believe he is alive.

Me too. It is strange that none of his close friends were at the memorial. All of the people who spoke or sang barely knew him and many had never even met him. So why did they get invited to speak? Wouldn't you want someone to speak about your loved one who actually knew him? When they interviewed Queen Latifah, she did not even seem to question the fact that she was asked to speak at his memorial when she had never met him. Shouldn't she have wondered why she was asked? She doesn't even know him. How could they expect her to give a great eulogy when she doesn't know his habits or personality? I know that it is comon for the minister at the funeral to speak about someone they don't know like they know him, but I just found it strange that most who spoke did not know him personally or had not spoken to him in years.

i find that really strange as well. i feel like if queen latifah was asked to speak and she never even met him, any one of us (his fans) could have been asked, too. like her, we also bought his albums; so we could have gone up there and talked about how we tried to dance like him and what not. so many things just don't seem real. i was thinking maybe the family wanted to give people who never met him but admired him a chance to say something. but it still doesn't make much sense, especially if he wasn't even in that casket. perhaps michael planned it that way to make the whole thing less personal. i'm sure if he had liz taylor, liza minelli, diana ross, etc give a speech, it would be too personal since he's not even dead. i hope i make sense!

dancer – You are so right. That was something I never thought about, it would be hard for you to sit back and watch your friends say something that you knew to be untrue.
