Two things wrong with that idea as I see it…

Firstly, the Millenium Dome cost approximately £750,000,000 to build (http://www.londonnet.co.uk/ln/…..-faqs.html). AEG paid £135,000,000 to transform the Millenium Dome into an entertainment/sports arena (http://www.designcommunity.com…..24299.html) back in 2002.

Secondly the O2 arena is as popular as ever.  All events are either sold out, or almost sold out by the time they actually take place.  With the arena holding 80,000 people, even if they all only paid £5 a ticket (which is highly unlikely as prices are much higher – the Sean Paul concert starts at £20 a ticket (http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/…..N000000WEB) it would be £400,000 per event. Even if you only did one event a week; in a year you would have £20,800,000 per year – btw at £20 a ticket it is £83,200,000.

So it seems highly unlikely they would sell the arena for £20 million.

Although they could by the naming rights from O2 for £20 million seems O2 only paid £12 million, in May 2005, for a six year contract. So it could become the Trinity Arena.
