I mean, even if the memorial was allegedly a “fake”, wouldn't you as a good friend of MJ's, go to the memorial to at least help make it look more real? If it was a hoax, you'd at least be helping him pass it off as real, and if it was real, you'd be going to the actual memorial of someone you cared about.
This is one thing that bothers me…no Diana Ross..Macaulay.. but rather folks like a contestant from Britains Got Talent?

I live on the other site of the world from America, so it was a little hard for me to be there, even though i wanted nothing more.
I dont think that dosent mean, that i didnt want to support him.
The strange thing is. There was NONE of Michaels close friends at his memoriel.
Where was LIzz, Mac, Diana Ross, Chris Tucker ect??

If it was a fake memorial (and I was a close friend), and I knew it was fake, there is no way I would go. I mean I would find it difficult to look sad and cry. I think his close friends ( even though some are actors) would not be able to fool the public. I would expect them to be in total pain. Pain that you can see in their eyes. I believe it would be impossible for them to pull it off. Look at how we are tearing the family's reactions apart.

Maybe these people didn't want to get involved with whatever is happening here? I mean Liz said she didn't want to get involved with the “whoopla”. Maybe that's because it's a hoax?!
I agree though that they should have been there to make it look more real, as you say. However, as no-one has released a statement or said why they weren't there we will never know what their true reasons are.

I think a question we should ask is WHY were the people who were at the memorial CHOSEN? (Were they chosen?)
Why in the world were Michael Jordan (MJ) and Magic Johnson (MJ) there? Because of their being Icons in their sport?
Brooke Shields, WHY did she say “we have to smile”? I'm not talking about the word “smile” being the song lyric…. But I'm
thinking she knows something….. Perhaps her tears were happy tears, knowing Michael is “perched” somewhere and we need to look up and ”smile”…??
Just strange…….Queen Latifa (sp?)…. Queen?
I hope this posts……I've tried a number of times to post but my posts don't show up.
(BTW…..my hubby thinks I'm obsessed….I just feel in my heart I'm right: Michael is alive. <3

It's all very confusing. Liz calling it a whoopla is an odd comment to make about your friends memorial – just from my own persective. If it was real you'd imagine she'd go to support MJ's family and kids despite what her own opinion was, but everyone deals with things differently I suppose.

I agree with you. It is an odd thing to call someone's memorial service. She stated that she meant the media circus but I think there is more to that statement than meets the eye. I don't even believe the family wanted to do a memorial, but were more pressured into it by the public. I mean we would have been livid it it's not a hoax and nothing was done to celebrate Michael's life!!

Even living very far from you, I have the same feeling. That´s a strong feeling that Michael is alive, especially after that show/funeral.

I guess they (his very close friends) could argue that their grief is their own and they don't want to share it. I get that (particulary in Liz's casee). However, the fact that NONE of the important people in Michael's life was there is very puzzling and troubling to me. Has anyone else noticed that the mainstream media as a whole hasn't commented on that fact? that no one has asked where all these people were? I just don't get it. Michael Jordan…Magic…SHEILA JACKSON LEE for God's sakel, but no freaking Mac or or Liza? And yet that douchebag Corey Feldman show up?!! WTH?

I know..you would think they would be supporting him to the media in his “darkest days”… I would think every major celebrity in the world would be there, especially his closest friends. MJ himself went to James Brown's memorial for example…it's the thing to do!!!

And, yes, I love MJ for everything he was/is, for everything he did and tried to do for this world. If he is truly gone, the world is a sadder and lonlier place.

I would of thought a memorial like Mike's would of taken months to put together?? “Quincy Jones” wasn't there!! I think a public but simple funeral would of been better and more spiritual. Then they could of of done a tribute show to Mike at a later date.
“Paris Jackson” DID cry at the memorial there were reports she was crying at the begining and her Auntie La Toya held her in her arms.

Maybe the memorial was directed more for the fans and the close friends were able to attend a private service, that makes sence to me.
