Michael Jackson Hoax Death

Hello, everyone. I thought it'd be neat to recap and summarize all possible theories as to WHY Michael Jackson would have faked his death. Please, feel free to  add to the topic as much as you want ; give input, links to interesting topic and/or articles to answer the “why” …. I do not have time to browse the boards, as much as I want to, and to put together the links to all relevant topics.
This is merely a summary just so it clears the clutter and recaps everything (I'm getting annoying with my recap threads, aren't I ? lol). 

Theories, of course, can intertwine – they are not necessarily independent.

 The Comeback Theory + The Movie Theory

1. Michael Jackson faked his death to pull the biggest publicity stunt the world has ever seen – in order to be the most memorable artist that ever graced the earth and/or give the media a dose of their own medecine (change the entire world's perception of the media)

2. Michael Jackson faked his death in order to literally create a live movie implicating the entire world and/or give the media a dose of their own medecine (change the entire world's perception of the media)

Questions : Who is in or isn't in on the hoax ? What is real and what isn't ? – Psychological implications

The Escape Theories + The Failure Theory + The Terminal Illness Theory

1. Michael Jackson faked his death in order to escape threats and/or get out of an exhausting business involvement that is the 50-concert London tour. 

2. Michael Jackson faked his death in order to finally have a go at a normal life, for his own sake and/or the sake of his children (?) ; still able to release songs this way.

3. Michael Jackson faked his death for the reasons aforementioned ; however, the police investigation on his death led them directly to draw the conclusions MJHD drew ; that he is alive. Authorities are closing in on him as investigation takes unanticipated turn. 

4. Michael Jackson is terminally ill as was reported by the newspapers six months ago and could not perform the shows he was asked to perform ; faked his death to be able to enjoy his last moments in peace and as he wanted to. 

 The Murder Theory 

1. Michael Jackson was murdered as part of a plan concocted by AEG and/or Sony for financial gain. Moral implications.

We know he was seriously in dept so he could have faked his death as advised by his attorney as to have his depts paid off.

The way the media abused him, could be a reason.

Or maybe he just had enough of everything in general and faked his own death so that the media would leave him alone.

In his death or supposed death, his record sales went up considerably. That is something to think about.

My mind changes constantly. I think currently it's 55% of the time I think he's alive and 45% he's not. It's all about those contradiciting stories out there. We only can have our own point of view on them without knowing the 'real facts'. Sometimes when I read such an article, it feels so real that he must be really dead.

But on the other hand, some facts seem to be so planned. Like it's in the script of a (the) movie or something. Like talking in present-time, singing words in the wrong order etc. Only a complete fool may possibly do all those things wrong.

About a comeback? I don't really know. It would be great, but I think he will also be in troubles when he does. Unless EVERYTHING is planned. So even the coroners, the hospital, the 911 call, the LAPD.

After this text, I think 56% of me believes he's alife. 44% thinks he's not.

I really do think he's trying to teach us a lesson about trusting the media.  As far as I can tell, all of the information that has come out in the “news” has only really come to a gossip site (TMZ).  The gossip site reports everything and the major news networks jump on the story.  The only thing is, the gossip site will report it as fact…the news networks willl report the same thing, but preface it with “allegedly” So they can tout all the stories that the gossip sites do, and just throw that in so they can cover their butts!  Nothing in this whole case has actually been confirmed.  I mean really, have the major news networks said ANYTHING that did not require them to say, “well allegedly?”  For all we know, everything right down to the police raids and the footage of the ambulance could have been staged and then “released” to TMZ. 

I really do think when people sit down in the theater to see the “unreleased footage of Michael Jackson's last days” they will be in for a big surprise.  But I don't think he'll really come back to us in the way we want him to.  I think he will show us that he escaped and tricked us, and that we believed every word of what the gossip sites fed to us (well not all of us did!).  Dr. Klein said on tv that he had been working on making Michael look more “normal.”  He was probably working with him on a disguise so he can go out in public like a normal person and do normal things.  Since, after the movie comes out, we'll all know he's alive, he will keep us guessing for the rest of our lives.  He did deserve the memorial because we will never know when he really does die since he now blends into the rest of society.  But he can still continue to release stuff (movies, songs, you name it) from “behind a curtain.” 

Meanwhile, we'll always be wondering if the guy we walked by in the supermarket is MJ!  (Anytime I see a guy with beautiful eyes buying Big Red, I'll do a double take, lol).   

I would think he moved back to the US for maybe one of two reasons (which are related). 

1. Money.  He needed to make some because he was getting further and further into debt.

2. He'd been living in other countries on the goodwill of friends but that must come to an end.

#2 agreed.

#1 his career was dead in the US thanks to the trials. Proof positive as he hooked up with the London based entertainment group for his “comeback”.

I don't know that they wouldn't be doing all this investigation into other doctors if it was “just” a hoax for a comeback, etc.  But, what if MJ WAS addicted to whatever it might be, decided to get clean and help the DEA throw the book at the docs who assisted him in becoming in addict?  This theory works a little more since California is also going after doctors who mis-prescribed to Anna Nicole.  Those doctors DID break the law by writing the prescriptions in other names and over-prescribing and the police DO use “civilians” in their investigations to bait people or to set up scenarios.

Just a thought.  Even though I still don't know what to think because of Katherine filing that probate estate, which would be fraud (and I don't see him letting his mother think he was dead), I remain hopeful, thanks to everyone here.

How do you know 19 doctors are being investigated currently in conjunction with the death of Michael Jackson? I'm curious the source of that Re: breaking news thread. I mean I have heard the same thing, but I have also heard a whole lot of “unnamed sources” credited on supposedly legitimate “breaking news”.

Just because an investigation is refered to doesn't mean it's a current investigation or in regards to the death of Michael Jackson. It also doesn't mean any crime has taken place.

edited to add, Katherine Jackson would have to be proven in a court of law to have knowledge of a death hoax to be found guilty of fraud. If MJ hoaxes the whole world it would be very hard to prove she knew. Besides if she ends up not profiting directly, or paying pack any monies received as a settlement of the will, the matter would be settled out of court.

Just to clarify, I didn't mean that they were investigating that many in the death.  But, they are investigating them for improper prescription practices.  That evidence has already been collected and is being pursued by the DEA, as well as police departments in 5 states.

Also, Katherine doesn't need to profit to be convicted of fraud.  The elements to fraud are: (1) a representation; (2) falsity of the representation; (3) materiality of the representation; (4) speaker’s knowledge of the falsity of the representation; (5) the speaker’s intent it should be relied upon; (6) the hearer’s ignorance of the falsity of the representation; (7) the hearer’s reliance on the representation; (8) the hearer’s right to rely on the representation; and (9) the hearer’s consequent and proximate injury caused by reliance on the representation.

She could get money from the trustee as early as Monday.  She has also already apparently filed for the insurance claim.  All they would have to do is arrest her if they believe she knew.  I don't see Michael allowing his mother to be arrested.  Then, they would take her statement, and I don't see her lying in a sworn written statement or deposition (or on the stand, if it went that far) that she didn't know, when she did know.  Yea, she might get a plea deal, but she could still be arrested. 

And, I REALLY don't see him putting his mother through the torture of thinking he's dead right now.

I personally know Harvey Levin at TMZ and I know his sources are credible.  But, I wish the other news organizations would stop rehashing whatever everyone else says instead of doing their own investigation!
